We spend a lot of time, energy and focus figuring out how we should start a presentation or deliver a message (and we absolutely should), but I think knowing when to stop is just as important. 

When you’ve said everything that needs to be said, it’s time to stop talking.

Even if you haven’t used all of your allocated time. People will forgive you for finishing early, they rarely will when you finish late.

Finish to the sound of applause not to the sound of wrap up music. 

Finish with people wanting you to stay not with people wishing they could go. 

Finish when you’ve made the point.
